The Cowley County Renaissance Festival is organized by a group of volunteers. Each year the Friends of the Renaissance, a non-profit organization, meet and work tirelessly to hold events , raise funding and to plan the renaissance festival. The festival is a project that the members feel is an important event for the community for both entertainment and for teaching the history of the Renaissance Period.
