Description: | From Inter-State Fair & Rodeo Website: A century-old tradition stampedes into Coffeyville, Kansas August 6-13, 2016.
The 108th edition of the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo will bring the sights, sounds, aromas, and rekindle old friendships and make new ones during its eight-day duration in August.
The Inter-State Fair brings eight nights of grandstand entertainment to fair fans. It kicks off with the Demo Derby on Saturday, August 6, the the Lucas Oil Tractor Pull on Sunday, August 7, the Working Ranch Cowboys Association Ranch Rodeo on Monday, August 8, the LJ Jenkins Bull Riding Tour on Tuesday, August 9, and wraps up with four nights of Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo, August 10-13.
The fair and rodeo is a highlight for the community, says Mike Ewy, President and CEO of Community State Bank. Its the pinnacle of our year, he said. The restaurants are full, the campgrounds are full, and we always see an uptick in our east side ATM that week, he laughed.
It brings the community together, whether its families, friends, or volunteers. Everybody comes together, Ewy said, whether its for showing their animals at the fair, or having a concession stand there. Its a class act for a small community. Its well put together and well run.
