The Lansing DAZE Festival and 14th Annual Brew, Blues, & Bar-B-Q Cook-Off opens on Fri., May 6 and runs through Sat., May 7. This years event will feature live music and a spectacular fireworks display (Fri. at approximately 9:30 p.m.) and food and beverage vendors are available both days. A Peoples Choice event (open to the public) is scheduled for Saturday.

The event will also feature a variety of family-friendly activities. The Festival includes a craft show, car and cycle show, childrens inflatable rides, and a child seat safety check lane sponsored by the Lansing Police Department. The Kiwanis Club is also planning to serve breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. at the Lansing Elementary School, 450 W. Mary St. Pancakes will be flipped by Chris Cakes. There will also be a Quilt Show at the Lansing Activity Center, 108 S. 2nd St.

The childrens inflatable rides are available both Friday evening and Saturday. Admission to both events is free. Unless otherwise specified, all events will take place at 831 and 925 W. Eisenhower, near the intersection of Desoto Road and Eisenhower Road. Parking is available at Condotels, Eisenhower Crossing, and the Eisenhower Medical Plaza.
