The Annual Sunflower Balloon Fest is the backdrop for a great event featuring the Kansas Cosmosphere Rocket Launch activities for kids; Show & Shine Car Show; Walk Pink, Walk Proud, Walk Kansas Fun Run; F-4 Flight Simulator; Scouts Dutch Oven feed; Walk-A-Round Magic Show; parade; helicopter rides; powered parachutes; arts and craft vendors; Lewellen Amusement Carnival; fireworks and the main feature, hot air balloons.
Once again the Kansas Army National Guard will have inflatables for kids. All these events are FREE. It's the perfect day trip, family weekend or romantic getaway - conveniently located in Anthony, Kansas!
We invite you to get up close and personal with the hot air balloons and their pilots. This is a great opportunity to see the behind the scenes magic of how these high-flying marvels work. After the morning launch, plan on staying a while, as there will be plenty to see and do. Spend some time getting to know the various local vendors, sponsors and business owners within the community. This event would not be possible without them! Help us make this the most successful and memorable event of the year.
