A national Swedish holiday celebrated with Swedish food, music, dancing, art, games and the raising of the Midsommarstng (Midsummer Pole). This festival, held to celebrate the beginning of summer, is one of the most popular of all Swedish celebrations, and Lindsborg is proud to host this fun-filled family oriented Swedish-American festival in our beautiful downtown. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, including a full slate of childrens activities, including a bouncy castle, mini-train, crafts, games, stories, and more. Create a blomkran, (crown of flowers) one of the most important parts of the festival with the Lindsborg Arts Council.The Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers and the Folksdanslag will perform Scandinavian dances in Swedish costumes. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to join in the dancing, especially around the Maypole in Heritage Square! Food vendors will provide yummy treats and new this year, a beer garden will be available! Arts and craft vendors will be on hand as well. Admission is free to the festival!

Other Midsummer activities include The Midsummer's 5K/2 Mile Walk, the inaugural Midsummers Festival Golf Classic, the 3rd annual Kubb tournament and an evening dance at the new J.O. Sundstrom Conference Center.
