| Description: | From Brew, Blues & Bar-B-Q Lansing Daze Website: May 2 will mark the arrival of barbecue contestants, with the main competition and judging held the following day. The city is increasing the total number of participating barbecue teams to 42 in 2013.
This Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned event includes four categories under which the contestants are judged as well as the popular People's Choice category. Beginning Friday evening and continuing on Saturday, area Blues bands take the stage. Bands Trampled Under Foot, Liverpool - A Tribute to the Beatles, and Southern Reign have performed in the past.
The Lansing DAZE Festival features a day of family activities, children's inflatable rides, entertainment (balloon artists, face painting, magicians, and a petting zoo) crafts and food.
