Description: Annual event celebrating the bald eagle.
Celebrate the return of bald eagles to the area. Presentations feature information on nesting and banding. Live bald eagle presentation. There will also be opportunities to view eagles in the wild at 9am and 3pm. If you plan to attend these field trips, be certain to dress for the weather and meet at the US Army Corps of Engineers Office at Clinton Lake.

12:00 Kelly Kindscher (of the KS Biological Survey) on the Prairies of Douglas County
1:00 Chip Taylor (KU Entomologist) talking about the Monarch Watch
2:00 Mike Watkins (biologist with the US Army Corps of Engineers) on the Kansas Bald Eagle Banding Program
3:00 Marti Birrell from Prairie Park Nature Center will have several live birds of prey (hawks, owls, eagles) that she will display and talk about.
